Halloween & I have always had a love/hate relationship. I used to think that it was because my birthday is the 29th, and all my birthday parties were always Halloween themed so it got old quick. BUT, it wasn’t that at all & what I learned made me laugh. The universe has an ironic sense of humor, putting my birthday at halloween 😉
It was about this time last year that I fully let the floodgates open. I had just gone to the Theresa show, had the meeting with the medium, and attended my first training. I think the Universe had a sense of humor there, because doing it during Halloween was like throwing a 5 year old into a college classroom, I saw a lot, but didn’t understand ANYTHING. This was the time period I saw Homeboy and was terrified of him and just had an all around negative feeling about everything. Last Halloween day, I think my family will attest to this too, was so hard. I spent most of the day crying, and I hid in my house most of the night with all the lights on. I’m writing this blog so you don’t have to feel what I felt.
Halloween can be super fun! It’s awesome to dress up, get a little crazy, and have fun with friends and family. But did you know how it all started? I am paraphrasing here, but it is my understanding that Halloween is actually “All Souls Day.” Stemming in the early Celtic religions, people believed that All Souls day was a day where the veil between the living and the dead was thin, and all souls would be able to roam freely amongst the earth. They began to were masks to disguise themselves and they hoped to scare away the Spirits. They also lit lanterns (jack-o-lanterns) in hopes to ward off the evil Spirits. Now listen, I don’t know how much all of this is true – but I can attest to what I’ve experienced here and now.
Halloween for us now is a time period where we have a global (or country) energy that’s focused on death, fear, and paranormal for this month. Why? Because we WANT to be scared, we are literally asking for the ghosts and ghouls to come haunt us in a scary maze, and for the walking dead to come torment us as we make our way through an amusement park. We sell out movie theaters that showcase the “Paranormal” and make you bone-chillingly terrified. There are previews of horror/gore movies on every TV set in America, essentially inviting those thoughts into our homes. We energetically shift during this season, because Halloween we are asking to be scared and intending to scare. We have learned as a society, that this is the time it we are supposed feel this way, to look at death and laugh.
Now I’m not saying that all the above is true – I don’t believe a lick of the Paranormal activity movie, BUT I do think that as you walk around HallowScream, you’re totally going to attract and feel the global energy. I went this Season, well knowing what I am, and I had legit nightmares for days, and then I saged.
I don’t know what I brought home, but I think when a sensitive walks through a crowd of people who are anticipating fear and liking it, you’re bound to pick some sort of energy up.
How do I get through it, you’re asking?
Here’s some Tricks & Treats on how to survive Halloween as a Sensitive:
Sage: I’ve spoke about Sage many times in my blogs, but I can’t even express how vital sage is for this time period. White Sage, you get it- you burn it around your house- anxietybegone. It breaks up any negative energy that is currently being held in your space. You can even sage yourself by fanning it over your shoulder. I guarantee you will feel better than before you saged.
Intention: Before going to a Halloween party, or a Halloween amusement park, set up your positive white light. If you’re walking around feeling negative, or have something going on – like attracts like – so that negative energy will attach right too you! So, before you attend an event, take 5 minutes and surround yourself in the all radiant positive white light. I literally just close my eyes and say, “I only want to attract and sense positivity!” Then I will just imagine white light all around me, and just ask to walk in the light through any darkness.
Understanding: Even if I have a speed bump and start to be bogged down by negative energy – I now understand WHY. That’s probably the biggest help of all because if you know why you’re feeling negative you won’t be quick to blame anything else. When you do feel a bit negative, just reset your intention, walk in the light, and change your attitude! 🙂
I am not talking about negativity as “paranormal demon like things”. I’m literally just talking about negative energy, the same energy that is created if you get mad at your boyfriend/girlfriend, you experience fear, jealously, sadness, etc, that kind of energy! Please do not be afraid of the movies that are on TV. Just ask to see positivity – that’s what Spirit is if you make it positive.
I hope everyone has a safe & happy Halloween season. 🙂 If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
